Emily is a former Ulster Champion and was a regular prize winner at the World Championships. Born and raised in Coagh, Northern Ireland. Emily has represented The Force at many International Tattoo events.

Question: How long have you been a drum major for?
Answer: I have been a Drum Major for 16 years.
Question #2
Question: What are your Drum Major achievements to date?
Answer: I am an Ulster Champion and was regularly in the prizes during my competing days. I was also in the top 5 of the World Championships several times.

Question: Favourite memory on/off the park?
Answer: My favourite memory was parading after each show in Moscow, Russia. The massed Pipes and Drum for a bit of fun after the show used to swap instruments and some even dared to lift our Maces and try and flourish.

Question: What inspires you most?
Answer: The rest of the team’s achievements and also I love a good book to inspire me.

Question: What does your hobby do for you?
Answer: It pushes you to accept criticism and apply corrections, which takes discipline.

Question: Words of inspiration you have never forgotten? If you have forgotten, some words of your own?
Answer: Its about enjoying yourself, win, lose or draw. If you’ve given it your all, you have lost nothing.

Question: Favourite International gig that you have been to and performed?
Answer: I have always loved going to Avenches in Switzerland to perform.
